How to Get Started with Us
Whether you’re here for estate planning, trust or probate administration, or support for your business, the first step is simple: schedule a 15-minute introductory call. This brief conversation gives you a chance to learn how our office works, understand which service fits your situation, and ask initial questions before moving into a full planning session.
Because most people find us while searching for estate planning help, your introductory call can also confirm whether a Life & Legacy Planning Session is the right next step — or whether you need guidance with a trust administration, probate matter, or business issue instead.
You can schedule online or call 858-432-3923. We meet with clients Monday through Friday and serve families and business owners throughout San Diego, North County, and all of California through virtual appointments. In-person and virtual sessions are available, with limited evening availability when needed.
Before Your Appointment
Once scheduled, you’ll receive either your Life & Legacy Inventory & Assessment (for estate planning) or the appropriate intake forms for trust administration, probate, or business services. Please return your materials at least two days before your meeting so we can review everything in advance and make the most of your time.
If you already have planning documents — such as a will, trust, powers of attorney, business agreements, or prior legal paperwork — please send those ahead of time. During your session, we will walk you through what would happen under your current documents (or without any documents), based on California law. Clients often say this initial review brings immediate clarity, regardless of the type of matter they came in for.
Day of Your Appointment
Your Consultation or Life & Legacy Planning Session will be either 1 or 2 hours. During this time, our role is to:
• Understand your goals, concerns, and priorities
• Explain what California law would require or allow in your situation
• Clarify your options, the risks of inaction, and what would best protect you, your family, or your business
If you choose to move forward, we begin designing your customized plan — whether that’s an estate plan, a trust administration roadmap, a probate strategy, or business guidance.
After Your Session
We prepare the appropriate documents or next steps and schedule your signing or follow-up appointments, typically within two to four weeks. For estate planning clients, we also help ensure your assets are properly aligned with your trust so your plan actually works when needed.
After You Sign or Begin Implementation
Our relationship continues after documents are signed or your matter is underway.
• Estate planning clients may update their plan at no cost for three months.
• We notify key people named in your plan so they understand their roles.
• Trust and probate clients receive ongoing guidance as the matter progresses.
• Business clients receive support as their entity or agreements evolve.
• Everyone receives a complimentary review every three years, plus updates about changes in California law.
Many clients join our Membership Program for additional benefits, including annual reviews, document updates, and ongoing attorney access.
We never charge for quick questions, emails, or check-ins. Our goal is to be your trusted advisor at every stage — for your family, your business, and your future.
